I was cautious of using white curtains because I didn't want it to look like a set of sheets hanging on the window. I used two pair of panels on the bottom for extra fullnes and a pair of swag with a straight valance on top. The semi-opaque on sheer white pattern resembles a gingham check. The touch of lace on the hem gives a touch of country charm...not to "guazey" or formal; they are nuetral not boring. They are just right.
