The Educo Whip-It-Up Mixer is sturdy and painted bright, bold colors. I love that it's also wooden and built really well. My 3yo loves to mix up stuff just like Mommy. The whisk lifts and spins; the speed knob turns. The only caveat I have is that the bowl does not actually stay put. A simple fix would be for Educo to have a small well in the bottom to hold the bowl better. While this bothers me a bit, my son does not mind at all. His favorite thing to mix is marbles.

My 18 month old just received this mixer for a Christmas present and it was an instant hit with her and her 4 year old sister. It is quite durable and cheerfully colored without being obnoxious. I love that is is so open-ended and doesn't move or make noises for the children.

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)

We purchased this item for Christmas. It is now July and our children have played with this many times and it is in perfect condition. We have a 3 year old daughter and a 2 year old son. Our son is not as gentle as our daughter, but this has easily held up to both of their play styles. Our daughter enjoys pretending to work in the kitchen just like mommy and daddy and she likes the turn handle that rotates the whisk. The whisk lifts and the bowl is easily removed in both positions. We also purchased the matching coffee maker and have been very happy with both items.
