The 2 issues we have with the fixture are small and now that it is installed, we are just going to keep it. One, the spout handle pulls away from the metal rod and the 2 stream options are great, but you cannot pull it down or out. This is not a pull out faucet. You can pull it down about 2 inches because the spring allows this. But it is not like a typical pull out with any length of hose to work with. Also, once installed it does not come out far enough into the middle of the sink for use. It is very close to the back of the sink. The semi-professional look of it went well with the look we were going for, and obviously is good for washing dishes.The plumber who hooked up the dishwasher/disposal/sink kept asking me about where it was from (he'd never seen the brand), and commenting about how unusually easy it was to hook it up, and how solid it seemed. So I was happy to run across this one for a good price. It seems very sturdy and it is all metal. The only little thing is that the valve requires a little more force to open and shut it. It might be that I need to reduce the water pressure a bit to fix that. |

Our house was built in the 80s, and I'm fairly sure most the of hardware is original to the home. There is nothing innately wrong with any of it, but the kitchen faucet inparticular is starting to have a minor leak when the water is run at full blast. So, I was thrilled to be given the chance to install and review this beautiful, but kind of expensive, faucet from Moen.My husband and I are not do-it-yourselfers. So, just to be one the safe side and as to not accidentally flood the kitchen, we decided to have my Father-in-Law come over to assist in the installation process. The instructions were very straight forward. While his Dad's help was appreciated, Mike felt like he would have been able to install the new faucet himself without any trouble. The idea that the handle can be installed on either side is pretty cool. I would imagine that 95% if people install on the right side, but it's nice to have the option. The faucet has a very high arc and the nozzle attaches and detaches very easily. There is a switch on the nozzle that allows you to switch between normal and concentrated stream, but there is also an off switch on the nozzle, which comes in very handy. The only warning I would give, if you are replacing a sink with a stand-along nozzle, make sure you get a Faucet Hole Cover. I think it would have been nice if one had been included with this set, although I guess that's not practical. This is a good looking faucet!Ok, we are in the process of updating our somewhat dated kitchen. We placed an order for a new sink, which should arrive in about a week. We are also getting rid of our "butcher-block" Formica counters and replacing them with concrete. We currently have another pull-out faucet made quite some time ago by another manufacturer. It has given good service, with some repairs along the way, but it is definitely time for it to retire. I received this beautiful Moen faucet, opened the box to take a closer look, and then made the mistake of showing it to my wife. I say it was a mistake because I was not planning on installing it until I installed the concrete counters and the new sink. Turns out I was wrong to think that was the better plan and my wife explained to me the errors of my thinking. So now we have this beautiful faucet installed on our old sink and counter. I tried to explain that when we swap out the new sink and counter it will be double work removing the new faucet from the old sink and installing it on the new sink, but it did not matter. I was over-ruled. Now I guess it was not too bad, because removing the old faucet and installing this new one only took me about 20 minutes. The install process is very easy, and the faucet came with everything I needed. The faucet is pretty cool because you have some options on how to install it. The water controller can be put on the left or the right, or actually in the middle, but I would not recommend that because you would be losing some room over the sink basin. The faucet in operation is very simple. Just what you would expect from a single controller water valve. The pull down feature is great and is much better than my old one because this faucet has a three way controller for stream, aerating spray, or pause to stop the water flow. My previous pull out faucet did not have a pause button, and it did not pull out as far as this new unit. I expect a long life on this product and I am basing that on the previous Moen faucets I have owned.
