This review is from: Moen 1198 Push Button Diverter (Tools & Home Improvement) We have an older model Moen single handle shower control and was a little leery of ordering this item when our current push button diverter became gunked up and wouldn't pop out when the water was turned off. We had to pull it out each time. The current, older diverter model did not have the shoulder where the push button entered the diverter like in the picture. Ours was smooth across the front where the button went in. But after receiving it and installing it there was no problem with fit even though. Works great. Husband went to local hardware store but they did not carry such an old part lol. We have an older house, but now thanks to this part, shower runs like new. Yay for internet, how did people get by without it!! This review is from: Moen 1198 Push Button Diverter (Tools & Home Improvement) The quality is excellent and the install process is fairly simple. You will need a box wrench ( hexagonal wrench) that costs at L or HD. You can probably even pick one up off Amazon. Just screw out the old one and screw this one in.
